Thank you to everyone who supported "Rally 4 Our Right to Read!"
Our Lapeer District Libraries are central to our community, providing access to information, a welcoming gathering space, fun and educational programs and resources and materials aimed at serving all members of the community. Fight 4 the First Lapeer is working to ensure our libraries remain free from censorship and continue to serve our entire community.
Originally the Lapeer Public Library, built with grants from the Carnegie Foundation.
In 1981, the library was renamed to honor the Lapeer born author of the award winning children's book, Copper Toed Boots.
Now the cornerstone of the Lapeer District Library system, the DeAngeli is a hub for many community-based activities and programs.
